Robbie and Garry – It’s Complicated by Paul Scott

As Take That began their record breaking 2011 “Progress” tour, all eyes were on two of its members, Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow.  After Robbie left the group in the mid 1990′s, they  subsequently found themselves locked in one of the bitterest feuds in pop history.

Paul Scott’s book takes an in-depth look at their relationship, to try and understand exactly how this happened.  Certainly, there’s no doubt that Robbie felt constrained in Take That Mk 1, with Gary having almost total creative control.

Robbie’s later incredible solo career was matched by Gary’s complete failure as a solo artist.  The story is brought up to date with Gary’s new found success in Take That Mk 2 and the return of Robbie to the fold, but few would bet against more twists to come in the future.

This is a very readable unauthorised biography which goes some way to explaining the dynamic between the two stars.
